Senior Sales Executive, USA Detroit, Michigan (Newlab) · Full-time
Cambrian builds AI-powered vision that lets industrial robots see and pick parts with confidence. Our VISION platform combines stereo cameras with deep learning to perform 6D pose estimation, and models are trained straight from CAD. That means manufacturers can automate picking and handling tasks that conventional vision can't handle. We work with enterprise manufacturers across the US, Europe and Asia. Our US base is Newlab in Detroit.
The role
You'll be Cambrian's senior commercial lead in the US. We already have a strong base of enterprise manufacturing customers, and most of their sites are still at an early stage of adoption. Your first year has two equal goals: grow those accounts systematically, and win new logos in the same buyer base. You'll also be the local face of Cambrian in the Detroit automation ecosystem.
What you'll do
Expand existing US accounts, taking customers from a first system to multi-site deployments
Hunt new enterprise manufacturing logos, building and owning your own pipeline
Own US channel and partner relationships with distributors, integrators and robot OEMs (ABB, FANUC, Universal Robots and others)
Represent Cambrian at robot OEM shows, tech days and partner events: demo the product, capture leads and develop them through to close
Manage inbound sales enquiries
Act as the primary customer contact through the sales and proof-of-concept process, working with our Application Engineers on feasibility projects and commissioning
Plan, log and communicate your work through our processes and tools so the global team has full visibility
What you'll bring
5+ years selling automation and/or machine vision to enterprise manufacturers (a Midwest manufacturing network is a strong plus)
A verifiable record of new business you personally originated, including named logos, deal sizes and how you sourced them
Experience selling with or through distributors, integrators or robot OEM partners, and knowing how to keep partners motivated
Technical credibility, from an engineering background or a proven ability to demo and run a technical sales cycle without a sales engineer in the room
A startup mindset: you build your own pipeline, sell without big-brand cover, and are comfortable being the only commercial person on the ground
Good organization and communication skills, plus ease working with colleagues across time zones over video calls
A base in Detroit or willingness to relocate
Authorization to work in the US without sponsorship
This role probably isn't for you if…
Your track record comes mainly from managing established key accounts at a large robot or vision manufacturer, and you can't show which wins were personally yours.
